The fall term has started. I’m a junior now. I believe I like my major more than ever at the moment. As I learn more I love it more. However I’m also facing new challenges as I progress.
I believe that time is the most valuable asset that I have. I feel uneasy if I don’t do something productive or just waste my time. Sometimes I feel uneasy in social situations due that I’m so used to working, coding, creating or making something. I’m aware of this and also working on it.
- Life – Work Balance
This is a huge dillema for me. From time to time I ask myself, should I party out on fridays for hours or should I use that time to learn new stuff and catch up with classes? While I was a sophomore I realized that I can’t function efficiently for long periods of time without social interaction and relaxing. I can do it for a month and then after that i start to die inside…. On the other-hand, if I start partying and go after people that I’m interested in, I need to allocate considerable amount of time to that.
- Money Stuff
Yeah… lol… It was more fun when I was in high school. But still I believe I’m getting the hang of it
I will update list as I discover more.
For this semester I’m defining couple of goals. First of all, I have 16 credit hours, taking
PHYS 2212 (Physics)
CS 3510 (Algorithms – OUR PROFESSOR USED TO TEACH AT MIT)
MATH 3012 (Combinatorics)
CS 3311 (Junior Design)
CS 4641 (Machine Learning)
Also I’m a Teaching Assistant for CS 3630 (Robotics and Perception), and I’m the President of GreyHat Cyber Security Club
What I want from this semester?
– Get an internship at U.S.
– Be comfortable with applications of machine learning
– Keep GPA over 3.5 I’m planning to have only single B and all As
– Keep my website updated and online
– Apply some of my machine vision and robotics knowledge to my work with drones
I’m also writing these posts for myself too. I make it public because it forces me to work on them neatly and carefully. Also I like sharing my experiences.
